Speak Up, Sing Out: Letra Davis is Helping Diasporans Find Their Voice in Ghana

When Diasporans relocate to Ghana, many are searching for more than just land or housing β€” they’re searching for purpose, presence, and the power to be heard in new spaces. Vocal coaching for speakers and singers in Ghana can be an essential part of this journey. For some, that means launching a business. For others, it means preaching, teaching, or performing. But across the board, one thing remains true: your voice is one of your greatest tools.

That’s where Letra Davis comes in.

Letra isn’t your average vocal coach. With 36 years of global experience, she has trained singers, speakers, coaches, and performers from all walks of life. But what makes her work especially powerful is that she doesn’t just help people β€œhit the right note” β€” she helps them step into who they truly are.

Now based part-time in Ghana and available virtually, Letra is opening her 2025 coaching season to students in Accra, across the country, and worldwide.

✍️ Beyond her coaching, Letra is also a published contributor on Listings Pro GH. Read Letra’s articles here.

More Than Music – A Voice That Carries

When Letra talks about voice training, she’s not just thinking about pitch or range. She’s thinking about:

  • The preacher whose message needs strength and clarity
  • The singer who wants to connect emotionally with an audience
  • The teacher who’s losing their voice midweek from strain
  • The coach or consultant who needs to project confidence
  • The creative professional preparing for studio sessions

Letra’s approach blends vocal mastery with performance psychology, helping clients not just use their voice, but own the room when they speak or sing.

What She Offers – and Why It Matters

Letra’s sessions are fully personalized and can be delivered in-person (in Ghana) or virtually depending on your needs.

She currently offers:

  • 🎀 Singing Lessons (Beginner to Professional)
  • πŸ’‘ Voice Enhancement Techniques for stamina, tone, and vocal health
  • 🎭 Stage Presence & Performance Coaching
  • 🎢 Studio Prep for vocalists heading into recording environments

And because she works with professionals across industries, she understands that voice training isn’t a luxuryβ€”it’s a business asset.

In Ghana or Online – You Choose

Letra offers vocal coaching for speakers and singers in Ghana as well as for clients around the world. Whether you’re based in Accra, Kumasi, Cape Coast, or visiting Ghana for a creative residency, her sessions are available both in person and virtually via Zoom.

What sets her apart is not just technique, but transformation. Letra takes a holistic approach to voice coachingβ€”working with clients to unblock emotional and mental inhibitors so their true essence breaks through in both voice and presence. The result is not just improved performance, but a renewed sense of authenticity and confidence.

With flexible scheduling and personalized support, Letra makes it easy to step fully into your voiceβ€”wherever you are.

  1. My husband and I are relocating to Ghana from Canada. Is there a list that we can put our names down for citizenship?

    1. Hi Barbara! Thanks for your question, and welcome in advance to Ghana!

There isn’t a formal public list you can simply add your names to for citizenship, but there are official pathways to becoming a Ghanaian citizen. If you or your husband have Ghanaian ancestry, or if you plan to live in Ghana long-term, there are options such as naturalization, dual citizenship, or even special presidential concessions through government-led initiatives like Beyond the Return.

Ghana has granted citizenship in batches to some members of the diaspora in the past, but these are usually part of structured programsβ€”not general waitlists.

If you’d like, I’d be happy to share more details on how to apply or connect you with trusted resources. You’re not alone on this journeyβ€”many others are making the same move and asking the same great questions. 🌍✨

Safe travels and best wishes as you prepare for your move!
